Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance on residential and commercial systems, which in a salt-air climate is the cheapest repair you will ever pay for.

What this is

Maintenance across Wilmington and the coast

Maintenance is the least dramatic thing we do and the one that saves our customers the most money. On the coast it matters more than it does inland: salt air corrodes condenser coils and electrical contacts, pollen and yard debris blind an outdoor unit in a single spring, and the humidity keeps drain pans wet long enough to grow the clog that eventually puts water on a ceiling.

A maintenance visit is not a filter change. Coils get cleaned, the condensate drain gets cleared and treated, electrical connections are checked and tightened, amp draws are compared against the nameplate, refrigerant charge is verified, and the safeties are tested. On gas equipment we check the burner and the venting before the heating season starts.

We do this for homeowners and for commercial customers, and for a lot of both it is a standing appointment rather than something they have to remember. Systems that get looked at twice a year reach the far end of their service life instead of failing at year twelve, and the failures they do have tend to show up as a reading that is drifting rather than a house at ninety degrees on a Saturday.

Call the shop and we will get you on the schedule. We service all major brands, whether or not the equipment came from us.
